How to use the Nutrition Finder

01Choose a category, or leave it on all 16 to search the whole menu.
02Drag the kJ slider to set the lowest and highest values you want.
03Sort the list by kilojoules, Calories or price.
04Tap any item to open its page with allergens and serving details.

What nutrition data Oporto actually publishes

Oporto shares energy figures in kilojoules and Calories, plus an allergen chart. It does not publish protein, fat, sugar, sodium or carbohydrate figures for its menu, so this finder cannot filter by them. Any site claiming a full Oporto macro table built that data from somewhere other than Oporto. That limit matters for anyone counting macros; for energy alone, the Oporto data is solid and current with the menu we hold.

Coverage is close to complete for energy. 99 of the 101 items carry a kJ value, and 52 items appear on the allergen chart. The finder shows a gap rather than a made up number when a figure is missing.

A kJ figure is per item as sold. A sauce jar shows the energy for the whole jar, while a dipping sauce shows one tub, so compare items that you would eat in one sitting.

What sits at the low end of the list

Sort from lowest kJ and the top of the list fills with sides, sauces and drinks rather than mains. The Portuguese Salad leads at from 130 kJ, then the Lemon & Herb Dipping Sauce at 310 kJ and the Prego Dipping Sauce at 331 kJ.

Drinks sit close behind. Peach Ice Tea reads 385 kJ and a Charlies Juice 300ml reads from 690 kJ. Those numbers help when a drink is the easiest place to save energy in a meal.

Set the category filter to mains to see the lightest burgers, rappas and chicken instead, which is a more useful list when you want a full meal.

Filter tips for faster answers

Use two passes. First filter a category with a kJ ceiling, then sort the survivors by price, so you land on the cheapest item that fits. Combo Cups at $6.00 and 565 kJ show how a snack can stay light and cheap at once. Clear the filters between searches, or an old kJ ceiling will hide items you expected to see.

The full figures also live on our nutrition page. The finder is quicker when you already know the range you want. Pin the result list in a browser tab and the figures are there next time without another search.

Sort by Calories when you track in an overseas app, and by kJ when you compare with Australian packaging. The order of items stays the same either way, because both units come from one set of Oporto figures.

Does Oporto publish full nutrition information?

Oporto publishes kilojoules, Calories and an allergen chart. It does not publish protein, fat, carbohydrate, sugar or sodium for menu items, so we do not show them either.

Which Oporto item has the lowest kJ?

The Portuguese Salad is lowest in our data at from 130 kJ, or 31 Cal. Lemon & Herb and Prego dipping sauces follow next.

How many Oporto items have nutrition data?

99 of the 101 items we list carry a kJ and Calorie figure. The two without one show a blank in the finder rather than an estimate.

Can I filter by Calories instead of kJ?

Yes. Switch the sort to Calories and the list reorders using the same Oporto figures. kJ stays shown first because Australian labels lead with it.

Do sauces count toward a meal's kJ?

They do. The Mayo Dipping Sauce lists 611 kJ and the Original Chilli Dipping Sauce lists 611 kJ, so one or two sauces add a noticeable amount.
