Why keep a favourites list

Most regulars rotate between a handful of items. A list puts the Bondi Burger, the Half Chicken at $13.50 and Chips at from $4.50 in one place, so ordering for yourself or someone else takes seconds. Hearts take a single tap, and the list is ready the next time you open the tools.

It also works as a household record. Hearts for each person's usual mean one person can order for the family without a round of texts. Each saved item links back to its item page, so sizes, bastings and allergens are one tap away.

A list helps on busy nights. Open it at the drive thru and read off each item instead of guessing at the board while the car behind waits. Hearts also help new staff in a share house order for everyone else.

Your usual order in numbers

Each favourite shows its price and kJ. Put the Otropo Burger at from 2,971 kJ next to the Chicken Rappa at 1,761 kJ and the lighter favourite is obvious on the days you want one. Price and kJ appear on each row, so your list doubles as a quick reference card.

Prices update with our menu data, so the list reflects what the item costs at our base store rather than what it cost when you saved it. Watch for changes in kJ if Oporto updates a recipe; the figure on your list follows the menu data.

Seasonal items come and go, so an item you saved can disappear from the menu. When that happens the list shows the gap, and you can heart a replacement the next time you browse the menu.

Tips for a useful favourites list

Save sides and sauces too. A Spicy Rice at from $4.50 or Crispy Wings at from $6.50 completes a usual order. Group favourites by meal type if it helps: a lunch set, a family dinner set and a treat set.

Trim it now and then. A list of twenty items stops being useful; five to eight items covers most habits. For rewards and points, use Flame Rewards in the Oporto app, which this site has no link to. Clear out items you no longer order.
